Itinerary

The driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo

You will head to the Religious Complex area in Old Cairo, and visit the Hanging Church, the site of several apparitions of Mary. It dates back to the 5th century AD and from the 7th century to the 13th century AD.

You will visit the Famous Mosque of Amr ibn al-As, the oldest surviving mosque in Egypt and Africa. Despite the fact that the vast majority of its original structure has been rebuilt and replaced, the historical importance of this mosque, as the first symbol of Muslim occupation and the first mosque in Africa, continues to make it a major tourist site.

 

Your next stop will be The Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest Jewish temple in Cairo, dating from the 9th century AD. Tradition marks this as the spot where the prophet Jeremiah gathered the Jews in the 6th century after Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Jerusalem temple

Then you will head to Mokattam, and visit St. Samaan church, which is Located deep in the winding alleys of this old area. carved in the heart of the mountain, The Tanner Monastery is considered a marvel architecture, and a significant landmark in Cairo.it is known as “The Cave Church”, as it was built in a natural cave where Saint Samaan lived in seclusion. It is a popular pilgrimage site for Coptic Christians and attracts tourists from around the world to admire its unique architecture and rich history.

Shopping time begins as you will head to the famous Khan El Khalili market, one of the oldest in Cairo, where you can shop for the best souvenirs in town.
